Accuracy is the product, so when we make a factual error we treat fixing it as a priority, not an embarrassment.

What we do

When a check contains a factual error, we correct it promptly and mark the change openly. The corrected check carries a dated note explaining what was wrong and what changed. We never silently edit a published verdict, and we never quietly delete one.

How to flag an error

If you believe a check is mistaken, email coryh2014+baseline-corrections@gmail.com with the specifics — the claim, the verdict, and the evidence you think we missed. Substantive challenges are reviewed by an editor who did not write the original check.

If you're the person we checked

Any official or campaign can contest a specific check on the evidence. We will review primary sources you provide and update or stand by the verdict, with the reasoning shown publicly.
