Mail ballots first sentOctober 2, 2026Connecticut implemented no-excuse absentee voting following the 2024 constitutional amendment; CEIR classifies CT as no-excuse mail voting for 2026. Absentee ballots become available/mailed from Friday, Oct. 2, 2026 (statutory 31st day falls Saturday, Oct. 3). Applications accepted through the day before Election Day.
