Registration, mail ballots, and early voting

Registration deadlineNovember 2, 2026Online registration through Nov. 2; mail/in-person advance registration by Oct. 26, 2026. Same-day registration at voter service centers Oct. 20-Nov. 3. Register by about Oct. 24 (10 days out) to be mailed a ballot.

Mail ballots first sentOctober 16, 2026Every registered voter is mailed a ballot; ballots must reach voters no later than 18 days before Election Day (by Oct. 16, 2026; HRS 11-102), so counties mail during the preceding week. No application needed.

Return ruleMust be received by close of polls (7 p.m.) on Election Day

Early in-person votingOctober 20, 2026through November 3, 2026 · Voter service centers open Oct. 20-Nov. 3, 2026 for in-person voting and same-day registration; locations vary by county.
