Registration deadlineOctober 23, 2026Advance registration (online, mail received, or in person) by Oct. 23, 2026 (11 days before). Same-day registration with proof of residence during in-person absentee voting and on Election Day.

Mail ballots first sentSeptember 18, 2026Mail ballots become available about 45 days out and are sent as applications are processed beginning Sept. 18, 2026 (per CEIR, based on correspondence with the Idaho SOS, May 2026). Request deadline 5 p.m. Oct. 23 (11 days out).
Return ruleMust be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day
Early in-person votingSeptember 18, 2026through October 30, 2026 · In-person absentee voting at county clerk offices from Sept. 18 through Oct. 30, 2026; some counties additionally offer early voting from Oct. 13. Varies by county.
