Mail ballots first sentSeptember 28, 2026Counties must have early-voting ballots ready and begin mailing Monday, Sept. 28, 2026 (35 days; Neb. Rev. Stat. 32-808). Written requests must be received by close of business Friday, Oct. 23 (second Friday before).
Return ruleMust be received by close of polls (8 p.m. CT) on Election Day
Early in-person votingOctober 5, 2026through November 2, 2026 · In-person early voting at county election offices begins Oct. 5, 2026 (30 days) and ends Nov. 2.
