Registration deadlineOctober 4, 2026Register online, in person, or by mail (postmarked) by Oct. 4, 2026 (30 days before); local boards may designate a location since the deadline falls on a Sunday. Election-day registration only for presidential elections.
Mail-ballot request deadlineOctober 13, 2026
Mail ballots first sentNo fixed statutory date for first domestic mailing: local boards certify applications (by Oct. 16) and the state mails ballots as they become available; UOCAVA ballots go out by Sept. 19, 2026, and CEIR lists Sept. 19 as the start of the mail-voting period. Applications must be received by 4 p.m. Oct. 13 (21 days out).
Return ruleMust be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day
Early in-person votingOctober 14, 2026through November 2, 2026 · In-person emergency mail-ballot/early voting period at local boards of canvassers Oct. 14-Nov. 2, 2026.
