Mail ballots first sentAbout October 4, 2026Mail absentee voting requires a qualifying excuse (60+, illness, absence from county, etc.). Counties mail ballots to approved applicants as processed once ballots are ready about 30 days out (Oct. 4, 2026, per CEIR). Applications must be received by Oct. 24 (10 days out); request window opened Aug. 5.
