Registration, mail ballots, and early voting

Registration deadlineOctober 19, 2026Register online, in person, or by mail (received) by Oct. 19, 2026 (15 days before). No same-day registration.
Mail-ballot request deadlineOctober 27, 2026
Mail ballots first sentOctober 20, 2026Counties send mail ballots as soon as they are finalized and must begin by Oct. 20, 2026 (the second Tuesday before; 25 P.S. 3146.5); in practice many counties start mailing from late September/early October as ballots are certified - varies by county. Counties begin processing applications Sept. 14. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Oct. 27 (7 days out).
Return ruleMust be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day
Early in-person votingOctober 20, 2026through October 27, 2026 · No traditional early voting; voters may apply for, complete, and cast a mail ballot in person at county election offices once ballots are ready - required by Oct. 20 but often earlier; varies by county.
