U.S. House · KY District 4
Thomas Massie is the U.S. Representative for Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, a Republican who entered Congress in November 2012. He was previously Lewis County Judge Executive and founded SensAble Technologies, Inc. after studying engineering at MIT.
Massie attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in mechanical engineering. His House biography says that while in school he invented a technology that lets people interact with computers using their sense of touch, and used it to found SensAble Technologies, Inc.
He served as Lewis County Judge Executive in Kentucky before entering Congress in November 2012. The Clerk of the House lists him as a Republican with a hometown of Garrison, and records his oath of office for the current Congress on January 3, 2025.
